Choosing a TV can be difficult due to many technical specifications. Here is a simplified guide.
Diagonal and viewing distance
The optimal viewing distance is 1.5-2.5 times diagonal. For example, 2-3 meters for a 55-inch TV. Measure where the TV will go and choose the appropriate size.
Resolution
Full HD (1920x1080) - cheaper and smaller TVs.
4K Ultra HD (3840x2160) - today's standard, suitable for TVs over 40 inches.
8K - very expensive, still little content.
Panel type
OLED - best black and contrast, wide viewing angle, more expensive.
QLED - good brightness, colors, not afraid of burn-in.
LED/LCD - cheaper but lower contrast.
Smart features
Operating system - does the TV have your favorite applications (Netflix, YouTube, Viaplay, etc.).
Voice control, smart home integration, game mode.
Connections
Number of HDMI slots (at least 3), USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet.
